Learning Excellence Awards 2022 – Finalist!

We are thrilled to announce that we are a finalist in this year’s Learning Excellence Awards!

The Learning Excellence Awards span the training, learning and development activities provided by companies – whether in-house, or through professional training/learning organisations.

The nomination and short-listing process has been ongoing since last Summer and next week the winners will be announced during an in-person event in the Britannia Suite at the National Conference Centre on Friday 8th April 2022. Unfortunately, we have the disease that we educate professionals about and so we will be unable to attend in person. COVID19 has not gone away and we are still ‘vulnerable’ and needing to shield to protect ourselves. We hope that our fellow nominees and finalists will have a wonderful time at the event. Disappointingly, there is not an option to participate virtually (LE Awards organisers – not very inclusive during an ongoing pandemic) but would be very happy to ‘network’ virtually with any of our cohort outside of the event – Get in touch!

We are a finalist in TWO categories!

S06. Health, Medical, Pharmaceutical and Social Care

OA05. Outstanding Course or Initiative

Fantastic! We feel these categories reflect the course content but also the social challenges that we are tackling as a social enterprise with our online training. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E/C.F.S) is not simply a health condition. It is a global health crisis that has wide-ranging social, political, and economic factors too. We identified the need for education on M.E/C.F.S in 2017 and, when Stripy Lightbulb CIC launched in 2018, our comprehensive online training courses on M.E/C.F.S were unique and forward-thinking by making training accessible to mainstream users i.e. not just for  medically trained professionals. The need for an improved knowledgebase on M.E/C.F.S and this type of disease was laid bare for all to see with the arrival of the pandemic and Long Covid. There are many overlaps with M.E/C.F.S, in many they are the same disease, yet many medical professionals were surprised that such wide-ranging symptoms could be triggered by a virus.

‘Outstanding course or initiative’? We think so! We will have to wait until April 8th to see if the Learning Excellence Awards judges agree with us!

We are very happy to be included alongside these fabulous companies!

  1. Thanks for the mention. We love to network too – we are all about co-creation, connection and expansion. We work helping sales teams become the best they can be and get the kudos they deserve as professionals.
We are also in the Outstanding Course or Initiative category as well as the sales and marketing category.
Best of luck to you and the other competitors too – sorry not to be able to meet you on the 8th – we will toast you in your absence.
